Arenas del Rey is a quiet municipality in Granada, located in the Alhama region and rebuilt after the 1884 earthquake. It stands out for its excellent natural environment next to the Bermejales reservoir and the Sierras de Tejeda, Almijara, and Alhama Natural Park, offering high environmental quality. However, it presents the typical service, transport, and income limitations of small rural villages.
